Undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at BU with a minimum GPA of 3.0 are eligible. You must have completed at least one year of study and be in good academic and disciplinary standing. Some programs may have additional requirements such as language proficiency.
All courses taken at partner universities are pre-approved for credit transfer. Before departure, you'll work with your academic advisor to create a Learning Agreement that specifies which courses will count toward your BU degree. Credits typically transfer on a 1:1 basis.
BU offers exchange-specific scholarships ranging from $1,500-$5,000. Your existing financial aid continues during exchange. Many partner universities waive tuition through bilateral agreements. Yes! Many students choose to extend from one semester to a full academic year. Extensions are subject to academic advisor approval, visa requirements, and availability at the partner institution. Request extensions at least 3 months before your initial exchange ends.
