General Admission Requirements

Deferred entry eligibility

Deferring simply means delaying. A deferred entry involves applying for a course and then taking a year off before starting it. University Common Admissions Portal

University Common Admissions Portal is maintained by the Bloomington University, to apply for one of our study programs, complete our easy online application form. The form will ask you some basic questions, including your personal details, preferred program, and education history, to help us assess your academic level. You do not have to complete the form all at once; you can save it at any point and return to it later. Additionally, you can choose to upload the supporting documents mentioned in the checklist. When you’ve completed your application, You can keep track of the progress of your application on the same portal.

Prepare your documentation

When applying to Bloomington University, you are required to declare on your all academic education in the application from all past and present universities, colleges, and post-secondary institutions attended, including Bloomington University. This includes completed degrees, diplomas, and post-secondary certificates, as well as programs that are currently in progress, incomplete studies, or discontinued studies. Your complete and up-to-date post-secondary educational history is necessary for the academic department to conduct a thorough review and evaluation of your application.

Required International Academic Records

As a global student, we understand that you may not have Curaçao qualifications, but we accept qualifications from all over the world. Academic records must include the dates of your enrolment, details of all subjects or courses, units, credits or hours, and grades for each subject. If your rank is determined by the results of comprehensive examinations, records should indicate the examination date and your scores, rank, class, and division.

You will be required to provide Certified Academic Records and originals upon request. Failure to provide these documents may result in the cancellation of your enrollment. This may occur during orientation or at any time following the commencement of the course.

  • You will be required to upload PDF copies of your academic transcript(s) and graduation certificate(s) from each post-secondary institutions and tertiary studies you have attended (original language and certified English translations).

  • Official English testing results from IELTS, TOEFL, IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, Pearson PTE or Cambridge CAE/CPE (if applicable).

  • Upload a valid and clear copy your passport and government-issued ID.

  • If you will be under the age of 18 when you commence your studies at the university, you will be required to provide parent/guardian consent.

Certified Academic Records

A certified copy of a document is an unaltered copy of the original document that has been certified as a true copy by a government official, justice of the peace, public notary, or a member of the police force. Alternatively, you can request certification from the head of department, dean, registrar, or another authorized delegate at your current or previous education institution.

All documents should bear a statement or stamp indicating that the certifier has seen the original documents. The certification should include phrases such as 'certified true copy of the original' or 'original sighted,' along with the certifier's full name, signature, organization stamp, and position in that organization and date.
